It usually arrives between October 23rd and 24th, marking the 18th solar term among the 24 that define the rhythm of traditional Chinese seasons. The name literally means “the descent of frost,” signifying the first appearance of frost as temperatures drop, and signaling that late autumn has fully arrived.

The standard requires that packaging be intact, leak-proof, and free of bulges to be deemed acceptable.

The Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair) is the world’s largest and most influential trade exhibition, connecting global buyers with top Chinese suppliers. The 137th edition will take place from April 15 to May 5, 2025, with the third phase (May 1-5) focusing on food products, textiles, and medical supplies.
