The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanyang Festival, the Chongwu Festival, the Tianzhong Festival, etc., it is known as the four traditional festivals with the Spring Festival, the Qingming Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival in China, and it is the traditional festival with the most names and customs.

Among the many theories about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, the most widely circulated is the one that commemorates Qu Yuan. Legend has it that in ancient times, the people of Chu State were reluctant to throw their worthy minister Qu Yuan into the river to die. In order to avoid Qu Yuan's body being buried in the belly of a fish, people spontaneously swept the river to disperse the fish, or threw rice balls into the river in order to obtain the preservation of Qu Yuan's body. Later, on the fifth day of May every year, this custom was also passed down and gradually developed into the custom of dragon boat racing and eating zongzi.

There are many shapes and varieties of rice dumplings, such as regular triangle, regular quadrangle, pointed triangle, square, and long. Due to the different flavors in different parts of China, there are mainly two kinds of sweet and salty.
